What began with helping people in my local church became a business serving homeowners in the greater Pinckney area. I enjoy caring for the outdoor spaces people come home to, whether that means regular mowing or helping with seasonal yard work. Cutting grass is my favorite part of the job. I love doing it, and my approach is simple: show up, put in the effort, and do the best work I can every time I visit.
Meet James Sullins
I’m James Sullins, owner of Sullins Outdoor Services LLC. I started the business in early 2026 after seeing a need among people at my church, Shalom Church. They needed help with outdoor work, and I had the experience and ability to lend a hand.
Shalom is an important part of my life. I’ve led worship there for the past 10+ years, playing guitar and singing. The relationships I’ve built through the church helped inspire me to serve others through my own business.
My experience started right after high school with Northland Services, where I worked for two and a half years and discovered my passion for working outdoors. I then spent two years delivering water softener salt before returning to lawn care and landscaping. For the next four and a half years; I worked alongside my friend, Jack Powers, in his business. As his focus moved more toward commercial work, I realized that residential care was where I wanted to put my time and effort.
